For my self-directed repeat pattern illustration final, I created a collection inspired by my family's journey and heritage. Originally from Sweden, my family immigrated to a small town in Iowa, where they built a life on a farm that remains in our family today. Our farmhouse, the heart of our gatherings, is filled with traditional Swedish motifs and decor, reflecting our cultural roots. Drawing from this rich history, I designed a pattern collection that merges the intricate charm of Swedish folk art with the rustic essence of Iowa farm life. I created three distinctly different colorways for all types of seasons.
