In this first draping assignment, we were to design and create a fully lined jacket with style lines. I first draped the jacket, pin-proofed the pieces, transferred it to pattern paper, created a muslin mock-up, and finally constructed the final jacket. I took inspiration from English equestrian show coats - a cinched waist with cascading box pleats in the back. I used a navy cotton twill for a structured look and a slick plaid fabric for the lining.
